What I Do
She is the adviser for the Lamar Yearbook and Lamar Life Magazine. She teaches the foundations course for journalism and graphic design, coaches the journalism UIL team, and manages business partnerships for the CTE program.
What excites me about Lamar Life
The most interesting part of this position is seeing the students create content and design that captures the moments of life at Lamar.
Interesting Fact
In college, I studied abroad in Spain during the summer and visited all three Picasso museums. I am fascinated by art in various styles and forms.

Favorite Book
There are TOO MANY BOOKS to pick a favorite, so I’ll just list what I’m currently reading: The Toll, in the Sythe series by Neal Shusterman, fiction. Where to Begin, a book of ideas, mantras, and poems by Cleo Wade, The Tradition by Jericho Brown, and I occasionally pick up Lies My Teacher Told me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong by James W. Loewen
In my spare time…
You can find me biking around Houston with my partner or friends, creating in a variety of artistic and culinary mediums, and hanging out with my family or a good book/TV show!
