Q&A with Pulitzer-Prize winner Jeff Leen
Jeff Leen, currently the investigative editor for the Washington Post, joined the Lamar Life staff as a special guest speaker, answering questions from the class. He has worked on investigations that have been awarded nine Pulitzer Prizes, including the four-reporter team whose examination of police shootings won the 1999 Pulitzer Gold Medal for Public Service, the Washington Post’s first since Watergate. He spoke about his experiences as a professional journalist, from his investigations to death threats.
Watch Leen answer students’ questions in the video above.
Lamar Life would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Leen for speaking to the staff and to Lauren Koong for organizing the event.

Junior Lauren Koong is in her third year as Editor-in-Chief of Lamar Life. She especially enjoys writing news stories and designing layouts for the print...
