Senior Daniela Pearl was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Daniela writes stories for the Lamar Life Magazine, covering a variety of both school-related topics and world events. She also serves as a photographer and a graphic designer for the needed elements of the magazine. Daniela is most excited about being able to learn and write about student life, and having the perquisite to present these stories to the rest of Lamar. Daniela is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys listening to music and creating art in her spare time. The most important thing Daniela has learned in her seventeen years of life is to be grateful for absolutely everything, the good and the bad. She believes that life is so precious and being able to live in such a beautiful world is a privilege. Daniela’s favorite movie is Sleepless in Seattle because the story contains so many elements that she can appreciate as a writer. Her favorite book is the Book Thief because the actions of the main character deepened her love for reading and reading the book took her on an emotional rollercoaster. While this is Daniela’s first year on the Lamar Life staff, she has participated in the journalism and yearbook classes during her sophomore and junior years of high school.
