Among other places, Wraparound is always open for those seeking assistance.

Writing Lab

“Any Piece of Writing, Any Stage in the Process” – that’s the motto of the Writing Lab. The Writing Lab allows students, who have a piece of writing, whether it’s for a class, a personal project or maybe for post high school years, to get assistance. Students can go to the Writing Lab at any stage in the writing process and get a 30 minute one-on-one session. The Writing Lab provides feedback to help students realize their writing goals. By writing, we can figure out what we think and what we know and produce knowledge.

College Corner

The College Corner provides assistance and post-secondary pathways for students, regardless of what they want to do after they graduate from Lamar. College preparation starts freshman year because there are a lot of considerations to take into account, a lot of research to be done and a lot of knowledge to gain. College Corner can help you strategize over the years to give you the best chance of pursuing whatever you want to pursue after Lamar.

Wraparound

Wraparound connects students and their families to local community resources that are non academic. Freshmen should visit if they ever have a need, whether that is school supplies, food, mental health services or anything like that. Students can submit a student assistance form and Wraparound will contact them and provide the help needed.

Student Service Center

The Student Service Center provides additional support to students in terms of academics, behavior, emotional and economical support. The Student Service Center ensures that students succeed in their mind. The amazing counselors provide students with the support that they need to succeed. For example, if a student needs uniforms and can’t afford it, the Student Service Center will help out by providing the student with uniforms.
